Peyton's First Camping Trip

This was Peyton at 5:30 in the morning playing with his toys!!

Hey everyone here's our pictures from the camping weekend! it was super fun I definetly think that we should make it a tradition! Hope everyone made it home in one piece!

Porter's Birthday

Hi all, I just wanted to share some pictures from when we went bowling on Monday for Porter's birthday. The little shoes in child-sizes were my favorite, they were so cute! And those classic bowling moments all happened where the kids run and slip down the lane, or throw their bowling ball down the wrong lane. It always cracks me up. We haven't taken them bowling for a long time, and this was Porter's first time. They loved it for the first few frames but pretty soon Dave and I were bowling for all of them because they were wandering around the bowling alley trying to get candy out of the candy machines. Hooray for the disposable camera and these photos that look like they were taken in the 70's! :)

Here is a photo diary of the great time we all had camping. I hope everyone survived and if you ended home with a few extra hot dog sticks, I think they are ours.

PEYTON VS. THE GREEN BEAN

Hey everyone!! I haven't written for a while, I check the blog everyday and never write anything...Anyway things are going well. Mitch has been super sick for a week and a half! He is just barely getting some energy back. Since he was so sick we had to cancel our trip to San Francisco! But I guess the good thing about it is that we can go on the family camping trip!! I'm excited, it'll be fun. I am just going to make Mitch make up for my lost vacation. I don't know how but I'm sure I'll think of something!:)
Peyton had quite the show down with his food the other day. I thing the green beans won. It was totally caked into his eyebrows and into every crevice he has! It was quite the episode! Well I hope everyone is doing good and I hope everyone has a fabulous day!!

Weekend at Grandmas

We took a trip to Caldwell for my fun run and to see my brothers new baby, Gavin, get blessed. My brother's wife has an aunt with a pool and we were invited to swim. According to the kids that was the highlight of the trip. This is a picture of me crossing the finish line. Wish my eyes were open! I was really happy with my time and it was a fun race.

My Horrible Day!!

Things were going great this morning - I woke up and got ready, started the laundry, and took care of a few things before the kids woke up.

We were having the missionaries over for dinner, so I thought I would get a potato casserole made first thing this morning. I noticed that the water in the sink wasn't going down, so I started the disposal. Something had fallen in. It sounded horrible so I hurried and turned it off. I reached down to get whatever it was out, and I couldn't find anything. I started it again and it still sounded horrible.

When I reached down again, I felt a little piece of metal. When I pulled it out, it was gold. My heart sunk. I ran upstairs and looked in my jewelry box. One of my worst nightmares had come true - My wedding ring was gone.

I started crying and tried to find as much of it as I could. It was mangled and all the diamonds were gone. I cried all morning. I called our insurance company, and it isn't covered since it wasn't stolen (that is a story in itself).

When Dan came home, he tore everything apart and didn't find anything. It is a total loss!!!

Lexi's 4th Birthday

Today was Lexi's birthday party. Many thanks to Katie and Bev who came to help! I was so happy they were here! And Lexi was so happy to have Lizzy come!

Now we have two 4-year olds and one almost 3-year old. Crazy! It was a fun day. We had a little family party this evening when Dave got home and Lexi got a new bike so we went outside for a little while, and Kyler started riding without training wheels. Yay!

Hey everyone! I just thought Isend some recent pictures of Peyton. He is sitting up by himself now so he thinks he is pretty big now. He was 'helping' me fold laundry the other day but all he got accomplished was sucking Mitch's socks until they felt like they had just come out of the washing machine!

Mitch was trying to take a nap the other day but Peyton wouldn't let him so I got a cute picture.

Anyway things are going really well here and we just wanted to wish a happy birthday to everyone this month! May is a crazy month for birthdays on both sides of our family so Happy Birthday to everyone!!

Don't touch my hair

I have a son who has been hanging around his brother Michael too much. He is obssessed with his hair. When he gets out of the bath he has to comb it in a Mohawk. He always wants his hair spikey like Michaels. When I was gone one day he found Michael's gel and made his hair handsome. Everyone gets the biggest kick out of him when he walks into Church because his hair is usually standing up straight, and you definetely don't want to touch his hair or he gets furious. His newest saying while holding two fingers out sideways is "Chunk up a Deuce". I know most of you without teenagers will not know what that means but it is part of some rap song. Just what I want my kids learning!!!

Cole's First Birthday

Hi All,

I wanted to post a few pictures that I took today of Cole. I can't believe that my baby is a year old!! He loved all of the attention that he received today. Tyce and Abbie were so excited - the first thing I heard today from Tyce was "The Birthday Boy is awake Mom."

Abbie also had her dance recital today. I was told that she "was a natural performer". She looked darling and loved getting up in front of the audience. Dan thought she was the cutest thing that he had ever seen.

I hope you all had a wonderful Cinco de Mayo. We are all so excited to go home over Memorial Day weekend!! I hope we are able see you. Happy Birthday Bill!

New House Update

Hi all, We were in Rexburg yesterday and I took some pictures of the new house so you who live farther away can see it. Dave thinks it's silly to take pictures now because there's not much to see, but I thought you all might be interested. Bev, Dave said you've taken pictures too so I'll let you take over from here to keep everyone updated. The Builders after a long hard day of work. I had to talk hard to get this picture and had to promise it was the last picture I'll ever take of them (as they're building - Mitch, that doesn't mean at family functions! :)

Memories of the Jedi

I'm sure we all remember the fun we had with the Jedi and the red toyota. (Well, I don't because I didn't even have a car, I rode the bus everyday). We bought this old Honda Civic that has 300,000 miles on it. It is a standard. Bill thought it would be good to have the boys learn how to drive stick shift. I look at it and wonder just what adventures it will have. As a mother, I probably don't want to know! Jessica dies of embarrassment every time I drive her to school in it, but with gas at almost $3 a gallon, I really don't care. I think it would be fun to hear about some of the adventures you guys had in the Jedi. Have a great day.

I'm Finally In!

Hi everyone! I've finally found the time to post my blog. We are all doing great. It has been so fun seeing everyone's pictures and recipes. Mom, I'm on now so I expect to see pictures of the house! I will try posting some pictures later tonight. I hope this works.
