Summer's Near!

Thought you might like to see Matt's prom pictures. He is such a good kid. We will miss him when he goes to BYU next year. He will be graduating Saturday as valedictorian.

Summer is almost here. I am so excited for early morning seminary and school to be done for the year. Our pool is now open for visitors! It is still too cold for me to get in, but nothing is too cold for kids. They are having a lot of fun and would love to have cousins come to swim!

Here is Anna at the Landrun celebration at her school. For those of you who don't know what a land run is, get out your history books and look up April 22, 1889. Each group built their own wagon and then had lots of fun activities that day, ending with a hootenanny and homemade cobler.

Here are some updated pictures of Michael. He is sure getting to see and do some fun things on his p-day. Below are some pictures of an ancient colluseum. The jars below contain bodies of gladiators. He said this was one of the best p-days so far.

This Little Piggy Stayed.....Home?

Hi Everyone this is Jessica. Grandma insisted that i blog and tell you about our new pet that was brought home to us last night by Matt and his friends...

So Matt comes home from school yesterday and casually asks my mom if he could bring a pig home to stay with us for six weeks until Swine Week. To clear things up really quick, Swine Week is a huge, exciting fundraising week we have at the High School every year where we raise money for a certain cause and this year we are raising money for Diabetes. We always have a different theme for Swine Week that is associated with pigs. Like last year the theme was Viva Hog Vegas and the year before that was Peter Ham (Peter Pan) and so on. So this year some of Matt's friends volunteered to raise a large sum of money to help out with the fundrasing. Well they got this brilliant plan to buy a pig to help them raise money and decided that our house was the best place to keep it. So after a long argument with my parents, they finally gave in and decided to let them keep it here. It is a small, black, pot-belly pig. It's really cute and we all love it. My mom is reliving some childhood memories.
