Trick-or Treat! Thank you!

Kacie needed the prompt every time--say "trick-or-treat", now say "thank you". Nate had no problem running right up to the house screaming TRICK OR TREAT!! Here is our Halloween picture. I remember the days where I took lots of pictures and each child had pictures alone. This year its the Halloween picture and we're lucky we got even one! I don't know what it is--just tired and lazy I guess. It's so fun to see every one in their costumes! Nate had the most fun I think. He said, "that is the best trick-or-treating of my whole life!"

Week in Cancun!

Hi, everyone! I wanted to post some pictures of our trip. For some reason these are all I could post. It wouldn't let me do more--and there are a lot more. We had a blast in Cancun! I think we pretty much hit just about everything: ruins, parasailing, snorkeling, dolphins, the beach, the resort pool (several times) and even feeding an iguana, which run wild everywhere! It was fun to have my sister and Darrin, Kris and Nick with us. We hated to come home to snow! It was a really fun trip and I recommend it to anyone who has never been! Hope everyone is well! Hi,everyone! I know its been a while since I've posted anything so I will try to play catch up on what my life has been--which is not much but running kids to their different activities. Here are just some pictures of latest events.

Haley played soccer this year on Brayden's team. (2 and 3 graders play together) Haley had fun and Brayden tried to get over having his "she doesn't know what she's doing" sister on his team.

Nate and Brayden just had birthdays. The times goes too fast.

Our house is moving along. I am getting more and more excited as it moves along. I am excited to start picking things out.

Zach is loving football. I can't get good action shots because he's always moving and far away. He played last night and had a great game. He caught 4 passes and did great on defense. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and they still lost --to Sugar!! Brett could hardly handle it. Well, I know this blog is all messed up and the pictures come before their descriptions, but such is my life sometimes. Hope you are all well! love, Kara

TREEmendous!

We had quite an exciting Sunday. A bad storm blew through Rexburg and uprooted our big willow tree. The kids had fun climbing on the wreckage. Our trampoline blew from our back yard, over our house and into the power lines across the street. The power lines were tangled and one house lost power for a while until the power company could come and fix the lines. Brett was in Boise this weekend for continuing ed courses and came home to the mess. Here are a few pictures. That was such a good beautiful tree. Our trampoline is banged up and no good anymore. Nate was crying "my trampoline blew away!"

Disneyland!

We made it! (or at least I made it) I took the kids to Disneyland for a week without Brett. I will be totally honest and say that it was really hard and I about lost my mind. But, I will also say that I am glad we went. It was so good to see my aunt, uncle and cousins. The kids had a blast. Here are a few pictures of the trip. Everyone in my family was great to help me out with all the kids. Haley got to go to a "princess lunch" and meet all of the Disney princesses and get autographs--she thought that was awesome. You can't see very well in the dark picture of all of us but Kacie is asleep--too much fun I guess. Then we took a picture of all the kids including my cousins 2. We had quite the group fighting the crowds. Well, I will have to tell you all about it--too many adventures for one blog. Love you all!

Weekend at Grandmas

We took a trip to Caldwell for my fun run and to see my brothers new baby, Gavin, get blessed. My brother's wife has an aunt with a pool and we were invited to swim. According to the kids that was the highlight of the trip. This is a picture of me crossing the finish line. Wish my eyes were open! I was really happy with my time and it was a fun race.

Our Feathered Friends

We took the kids to feed the ducks on Monday night. They had such a fun time--even the older boys loved it. Kacie was so funny. She just giggled the whole time.

Haley has been wanting baby chicks for weeks and we finally broke down. I am affraid these are going to be more work than I bargained for. The kids are excited to have them, though, and it is fun to see them get excited. Brett says we are real hillbillys now that we have chickens--I think he's right!

Yeah! I realized that I didn't have enough patience with the loading part and so I figured it didn't work--guess it was. This is just Kacie trying on hats. Hopefully I will post more exciting pictures in the future.

This is my attempt at this blog. It has been fun to read about everybody and to see pictures. Everything is going well with us. I am "training" for a couple of fun runs this summer, so this is everyones invitation to join me--it's always more fun with more people! I'll try to get a picture posted. Hope all of you are well!
