Hi All,
I hope that everyone had an enjoyable weekend. We had a lot of fun. On Friday I got an inch to get out of town, so I called and booked us a hotel room in Rapid City, South Dakota! We woke up on Saturday and made the 5 hour drive. The hotel we stayed at had a huge waterpark, so we spent all evening swimming. Afterward, we ordered pizza and watched a movie in our hotel room.
Sunday morning we woke up and drove to Mount Rushmore. It was awesome!! The kids loved it and became "Junior Rangers". We then toured some caves and drove back to Colorado. It was a really quick trip, but we managed to wear the kids out!!!
I hope things are going well for everyone. We sure enjoyed seeing Michael and Debbie last Tuesday. I hope that all went well for you Debbie!! Please keep the posts coming - we love to hear from everyone!! Happy Bday Kris!!

Brigit, That looks like such a fun trip! I've never thought of going to Mount Rushmore, what a great idea. That makes me really want to visit there. I love your pictures! Sometimes those quick trips are the best kind. I'm so glad you got to go.
